Camp supplies and equipment are shipped directly to your camp location prior to Day 1. This reference guide covers everything in your camp supplies, including what each item is and what it's for. Use this alongside the Day 1 Setup Checklist and Camp Closeout Checklist in your Camp HQ for step-by-step instructions on unpacking, tracking, and returning supplies. Questions? Supplies Instructions
Day 1: Unpack & Inventory Supplies, Update the Airtable
Pull up the Supplies Tracker interface and complete the following by end of Day 1:
- As you unpack each item, check the
Quantityfield to confirm you received the correct amount.
- Reference the
Purposefield if you're unsure what an item is for.
- Set the
Item Status - Camp Set Upfield to one of the following: Unboxed - Sufficient: You received the full quantity.Insufficient/Missing: You didn't receive enough, or the item is missing entirely. Notify @Ella Kennedy and @logistics on Slack immediately so we can send replacements ASAP.
Ensure all items have a status by end of Day 1.
🔁 Days 2-10: Daily Camp Maintenance
- Distribute snacks throughout the day (save popcorn for Wednesday Speaker Series).
- Keep shared spaces clean and wipe down tables daily.
- Ensure scholars have access to supplies they need for that day's activities.
Day 8-10: Pack Up, Update the Airtable
Starting on Day 8, you can begin preparing supplies to be shipped back. In the Supplies Tracker, items are grouped by the
End of Camp Process field. This list provides a detailed explanation of each possible value for this field.Send Back

Supplies List (also in your camp’s Airtable base)
General Supplies
- Scissors: General use.
- Digital Clock: Use this if your camp space doesn’t have any clocks.
- Sticky dots and tape: For hanging things up.
- Shipping tape: For sealing shipping boxes at the end of camp.
- Pens: For you and your scholars.
- Sharpies & poster markers: For labeling and anchor charts.
- Expo markers (dry erase): For use on the whiteboard in your space.
- Journals: One per scholar for notes and self-reflection. Pro tip: encourage scholars to personalize with doodles and stickers!
- Post-It note pads (pack of 12): For notes, brainstorming, or sharing gratitudes.
- Mini whiteboards with markers (pack of 30): One per scholar, for games, checks for understanding, and brainstorming.
- Index cards (pack of 300): For learning zones, games, notes, or shoutouts.
- Blank Folded Cards: Use these to share gratitude and kind messages with the location hosts and/or camp mentors.
- Big easel Post-It paper (pack of 2): For anchor charts and brainstorming.
- Name tent: Give one to each scholar to place at their seat, and encourage them to decorate them!
- Name tags: Use for the first few days of camp and when visitors arrive. Ask scholars to add pronouns!
Instructional Supplies
- Directional posters: Hang on Day 1. Help scholars navigate the building on arrival.
- Banner(s): Hang up on day 1. Each camp will receive a banner/large poster to hang in their space to create a sense of “home base.” If possible, please hang in a prominent place that scholars can take photos of/capture as a memento.
Tech Supplies
- Projector: Included at select camps only.
- Security lockdown cable: Included at select camps only. Use to secure the projector if one was sent. The combination for the lock is
1519.
- JBL Speakers / Beats: Included at select camps only.
- USB-C flash drive: Included for locations running consecutive camps. Used to clear laptop memory between camps. More instructions to follow.
- MiFi Device: These can be used if the wifi connection at your camp is not strong enough. When you arrive at your location, if the WiFi is slow, feel free to set up a MiFi device to boost your camp’s connection.
- 25' HDMI cable
- 25' extension cord with tri-tap
- Power strips / surge protectors
- Presentation clicker: For use during instruction.
- Mobile cleaning cloths: For cleaning and sterilizing technology.
- USB-C adapter
- Zip ties: Use when shipping back the laptop pelican cases to ensure secure closure.
- Gaffer's tape: Tape down any cords that may pose a trip hazard.
Health & Safety
- Hand sanitizer (pack of 2)
- Paper towels (2 rolls)
- Pads & tampons
- Clorox or Lysol wipes (pack of 3)
- To-go containers, cutlery, & paper plates

Please support your location host in keeping the space clean. Wipe down tables each day and encourage hand washing and sanitizing before snacks and meals.
Printed Supplies
- Graduation Certificates: During the graduation ceremony, each scholar will receive a personalized certificate to commemorate their hard work and learning!
- Conversation Packs: You’ll receive sheets of cards to use as conversation starters during the mentor lunch in Week 1 of camp. Please cut the cards and distribute them to tables before mentors arrive. More information can be found in your camp-specific integrations doc.
- Empty Cardstock with KWK Branding: We shipped you some empty cardstock with KWK branding for you to jazz up the camp space. It’s a good idea to make directional signage to hang up, label where your snacks are, or anything else!
- Day 1 Set Up Checklist: This resource is also available online, but is printed to help you easily check off your tasks for Day 1.
Camp Magic
- Stickers: Pass out Day 1. Encourage scholars to stick them on water bottles, laptop cases, phones — wherever!
- Water bottles: Pass out Day 1. Encourage scholars to hydrate and personalize with markers and stickers.
- Tote bags: Pass out Day 1. Encourage scholars to personalize with markers.
- Snacks: Enough for ~2 snacks per day per scholar. Put out only what's needed each day — they go fast!
- Rubber ducks: Distribute around Day 3 or 4. A nod to "rubber duck debugging" — a technique for working through a problem by explaining it out loud. Make it a moment! See the Rubber Ducks resource for more info!
- Pitch Party decorations: Party supplies and hats to distribute during Pitch Party. Make it special!
- Party Hats: Each camp will receive a pack of party supplies and party hats to be distributed during Pitch Party! These should be used to build excitement and make Pitch Party a really special moment.
- Graduation ceremony decorations: Pennants and a congrats banner for Demo Day.
