Official behavior expectations and unacceptable conduct guidelines that all scholars and guardians sign. Reference this if scholar behavior issues arise to understand KWK's standards and when to escalate concerns to the KWK team.
Kode With Klossy’s Participant Code of Conduct serves to ensure that participants understand program behavior expectations. This is included in the paperwork that each scholar and parent/guardian signs before camp begins. If any scholars are engaging in unacceptable conduct, inform the Kode With Klossy team as soon as possible.
Participants are expected to:
- Treat other Participants and Kode With Klossy staff with respect and dignity;
- Treat Program facilities and equipment with care;
- Comply with Program public health policies.
Unacceptable conduct will not be tolerated, including, but not limited to:
- Drug/alcohol/tobacco and weapon possession or use;
- Inappropriate language (swearing, racial slurs, etc.);
- Physical violence or threats of physical violence against other Participants or Kode With Klossy staff;
- Sexual harassment of other Participants or Kode With Klossy staff;
- Bullying;
- Willful damage to facilities at the Program location or Kode With Klossy equipment;
- Inappropriate use of equipment;
- Stealing or willful damage to the property of others;
- Viewing pornography or inappropriate material (e.g., violence, racism, bullying) on the Internet;
- Hacking; and
- Other behavior identified as disruptive to the learning environment of others.
Kode With Klossy reserves the right to dismiss any participant from a program with or without prior warning for violating any of the terms of the Participant Code of Conduct. There will be no refund for such dismissal.
If use or possession of illegal substances or weapons is suspected, a participant will be subject to search and seizure. If use or possession of illegal substances or weapons is found, the participant will immediately be dismissed from a program and no refund will be issued.
