KWK offers up to $75 in transportation support for scholars with financial need who are attending in-person camps. KWK coordinates and communicates this stipend to scholars before camp begins. This information is shared with you for context and as a point of reference only.
What does this mean for you as an IL?
Do not share this information unless scholars ask about it. Scholars who have indicated a need for transportation support will already have been informed by the KWK team before camp starts.
If a scholar asks you about it, tag @logistics on Slack and share the form linked below with the scholar. You don’t need to manage or track anything beyond that!
How can scholars qualify?
To qualify and receive transportation support, scholars can reach out to Kode With Klossy via email (support@kodewithklossy.com) or submit the form below directly.
Once a request is submitted, the KWK team will send the scholar a form to share information about their commute and confirm financial need (typically evidenced by qualifying for free or reduced lunch at school, or a similar metric).
Requests are reviewed and approved or denied within 48 hours. Approved scholars receive a gift card to be used for transportation to and from camp only.

If scholars are unable to attend camp or use their support stipend, it will be canceled.
